NameTree began as a project Victor and Mia created while choosing a name for our own baby. We wanted a place to explore meanings, origins, and the stories behind names. We decided to make it public so other families could use it too.

Meet Victor, Mia, and our contributors. NameTree uses AI-assisted content workflows. An author or editor byline describes the attribution recorded for that page; content without an explicit human review credit should not be assumed to have been reviewed by a person.

Sources and corrections

Name profiles link to their sources. Publication and update dates describe the page, not the age of a name or the year of a popularity dataset. If something looks wrong, send us the page URL and a source for the correction.
